And good planning is more than picking equipment and "plopping it down".

Good planning means knowing as much about play as about play equipment. At Grounds For Play, we know both, and more importantly, we know how they work together to support development.

Little things make a big difference in good site planning.

Some of the "little things" we include are:
  1. trike tracks and dramatic play elements to support language development.
  2. sand, water, art and gardening activities to extend the curriculum
  3. loose parts with storage to support problem-solving and creativity
  4. spaces which invite individual, small group and large group activities.
  5. equipment and activities to stimulate tactile, auditory and visual skills
  6. equipment and support materials to encourage the particular social needs of chilidren at different ages
Every good playground begins with the first step. At Grounds For Play, we not only help you take that first step, we make sure it is in the right direction.
